We are very pleased to announce that Luke Moffat will join CBRE as Regional Managing Director, East China, in August 2014, based in Shanghai. We have a continued focus on growth in key markets and our core offerings, as well as operational excellence, in the region and are delighted to welcome someone of Luke’s caliber to help drive our overall China strategy.
Luke’s experience positions him exceptionally well to steer our East China business. In his most recent role, Luke was Head of Leasing for MGPA in Singapore from 2007 until 2013, and continued in this role with BlackRock after the two firms merged last year. One of his key projects was Asia Square, a 2.5 million-sq-ft mixed use development located in the heart of Marina Bay. Notably, in his time at BlackRock and MGPA, Luke concluded over 100 leasing transactions of approximately 1.5 million sq. ft., working with many leading corporates.
In many ways returning to Shanghai is a homecoming for Luke. Prior to joining MGPA, he was Executive Director of Office Agency at Colliers International, based out of Shanghai. While there, his professionalism and imagination pushed Colliers forward in that market.
I am excited to pass the management of the Shanghai business to Luke. He will be a great addition to our China leadership team and his vision will no doubt further drive our East China business to deliver for our clients.
